One of our foremost goals is to facilitate effortless data enrichment—and by “enrichment,” we mean: if the waypoint is a campsite, scenic overlook, or trailhead, mark it as such. This grants us the ability to include filterable extended data based on type, such as “parking capacity,” “campground facilities,” or “trail surface.”
Populating your data with rich information will never be a requirement to use and enjoy Mapkind GPS, but doing so enhances the organization, presentation, and archival of your recorded navigation data.
This week, I further enhanced the Type Picker component.
When saving a waypoint or a track log, scroll horizontally, give the carousel a fling, or tap on the icon directly to specify your desired type. Alternatively, you can ignore the Type Picker completely and, if you so desire, specify the type at a later date in the detail view for that entity.
